dynaTrace software has launched an Ajax performance diagnostic tool to diagnose and resolve complex Ajax performance problems. With this release, the company extends its server-side transaction performance management technology to an expanding class of client-side performance challenges.

The company said that, to support this migration developers rely on a number of frameworks like jQuery, Google Web Toolkit, Dojo, and YUI to accelerate their AJAX implementations. While these frameworks may speed initial development, they hide many of the performance and scalability issues that infiltrate these increasingly complex applications.

The company claims that the dynaTrace AJAX Edition provides deep visibility into how Ajax-based applications work under load, provides code level insight into 3rd-party frameworks, and enables application developers with a way to optimise the performance and scalability of their Ajax-based applications.

According to dynaTrace, the new offering enables application developers and testers to understand performance as real users experience it; differentiate between browser and server bottlenecks; and trace asynchronous JavaScript executions for the full round-trip.

In addition, it also helps developers to analyse JavaScript, Ajax remoting, network and rendering performance in real-time; save performance data for interactive offline analysis; and transform Selenium/Watir tests into performance tests and integrate them with CI environment.
