US development tool vendor Dynasty Technologies Inc is looking for partners to help take its Dynasty Development Environment into the mainframe space, supporting the proprietary platforms for major vendors, and to this end will be holding meetings with IBM next week, according to Paul Noakes, business development and sales director for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. Not that the company will be limiting its search to IBM, nor even to machine vendors, he clarified. We like to have customers or prospects involved in the development of our products, and that could be anyone who wants to develop or distribute applications on a mainframe. Sources at Dynasty said the company is close enough to a deal to be able to predict an announcement in a couple of weeks’ time.
