As part of its strategy to expanding its product offering, Redwood Shores, California-based Dynasty Technologies Inc, is to package its development environment with a suite of banking applications software components developed by Italian software house, CAD Lab Inc. Dynasty announced yesterday that it has entered into an agreement that will see the two companies jointly market the package which consists of CAD’s SIBAC banking application, a suite of 35 software components, which the company developed using the other product in the package, the Dynasty Development Environment. CEO of Dynasty, Bani Brandolini, told ComputerWire that the announcement was the first of a series of such moves designed to expand the companies offerings. Brandolini says the company will be launching several more similar initiatives over the next few months aimed at several industry sectors.
Brandolini believes that there is a growing trend towards components-based applications with companies requiring the flexibility to implement and configure either the whole of an enterprise application or merely elements of it, to meet specific needs. Brandolini argues that as SIBAC has been developed using the Dynasty Development Environment, the two can be used in conjunction to tweak the implemented applications so they fit more closely with the individual business processes.
