Application development tools company Dynasty Technologies Inc has acquired Dynasty UK, the company set up independently of its parent in February 1996 as the exclusive UK distribution arm for the Dynasty Development Environment (CI No 2,862). Terms were not disclosed. Based in Epsom, Surrey, the firm will continue to be run by its founder Paul Noakes, who originally joined from Seer Technologies Inc. There are 12 sales and support staff at the office, which was responsible for signing up such customers as EuroDollar and Woolworths as users of Dynasty tools. The parent company, installed at its new headquarters in Redwood Shores, California, is enjoying a new lease of life following the troubles which led to its acquisition by European Technology and Finance at the end of last year (CI No 3,039).
