DURING THE SECOND HALF OF 1993 ACER SOLD $4M OF COMPUTERS IN TO RUSSIA

By CBR Staff Writer

According to Stephen Kuzara, Russian market manager for Acer Inc, his company sold $4m worth of Acer computers in the second half of 1993 in Russia. He also says that he expects revenues during 1994 to rise to $10m. Acer’s distributors in Moscow are Kami, Compulink, Lamport (formerly Steepler) and it has Land in St Petersburg. Acer plans to establish an office in Moscow in July. Rather than using a warehouse in Russia, Mr Kuzara says that he plans to use storage facilities in Finland, which he reckons will improve delivery to Russia.
