The electronic imaging division of E I DuPont de Nemours & Co has signed with Intergraph’s Advanced Processor Division for the C100 and the new C300 RISC microprocessors – but is not saying anything about the products in which they will be used. The contract envisages volume purchases of up to 50,000 units or more. Dupont is doing some very state-of-the-art things in graphics and imaging and we are pleased to work with them is the excruciating quote attributed by the flacks to Howard Sachs, who is vice-president and general manager of the Intergraph Advanced Processor Division. Our Clipper C100 and the next-generation Clipper C300 will help place their products in leadership positions in their marketplace.
