Through an earn-out arrangement, the company will pay an estimated US$3.75 million (£2.6 million) for the show in three stages over the next two years, dependent on show profits from 2001 to 2003.

Following the acquisition, dmg world media now runs four major trade shows focusing on construction, interior fittings and hotel management in the Middle East, including Index, the largest show in Dubai after the Dubai International Air Show.
