Remember the earpiece that seems to enable you to talk out of your ear developed by Norris Communications Corp’s San Diego-based Jabra Corp (CI No 2,235)? The company is back at Comdex this year to announce that it has signed DSP Solutions Inc of Palo Alto, California to distribute the Jabra Ear Phone with its Portable Sound Products line. The Ear Phone combines the listening and speaking components of a standard telephone handset into an earpiece that weighs less than half an ounce. DSP Solutions will upgrade its customers through software by integrating sound into a signal processor. Jabra will do a version of its patented noise cancellation algorithms for DSP Solutions’ systems, offering them as upgrades to existing users next quarter.
