SG International is rolling out staff management software from Torex across its entire range of 640 stores across the UK.

DSGi runs retail outlets such as PC World, Currys, Currys.digital and Dixons Travel and will use the software to make sure that staffing levels are correct at each individual store, which it is hoped will improve customer service across the chain.

DSGi has been using Torex Productivity Management at its 160 PC World stores since 2003 and has decided to expand the service to the rest of its outlets.

As well as monitoring staffing levels, the product can also examine sales targets and the time it takes to shift stock in certain stores. It can also monitor and record working hours so staff that may work irregular hours will still be paid accurately and on time.

“By implementing Torex Productivity Management across all our UK stores, we can ensure that our business is in the best possible position to adapt to the changing conditions of the local retail marketplace. Our goal is to offer our customers an unbeatable combination of value, choice and service. By tailoring our resources to suit each store’s particular requirements, Torex Productivity Management will help us achieve this,” said Jon Naylor, head of productivity at DSGi.

Torex’s other clients include McDonald’s, Subway, Tesco and Selfridges.
