DSC Communication Corp is to set up a $25m operation in Drogheda, Ireland, creating 475 jobs within the next four years. The base will provide software development, procurement and complex technical support to DSC’s sales and service centers in Europe, and also to to its manufacturing operations, and will be a point of contact for Irish suppliers of printed circuit boards, electronic assemblies, cables, wires and metal fabrication. DSC is taking over a building previously set aside for APC Corp, which announced plans last year to create 300 jobs in Drogheda. That investment has been delayed and is now being revised and renegotiated.
