Dragon Systems Inc says it is working with Intel Corp to enhance speech recognition for future generations of Intel processors. The thrust of the work is to make speech systems faster, more accurate and easier to use on higher-performance hardware systems based on new Intel chips. Dragon says it will introduce copies of its NaturallySpeaking software that take advantage of the instruction set to be introduced in a family of next-generation Intel processors in 1999. NaturallySpeaking already incorporates Dragon’s BestMatch technology – which automatically adjusts the performance of the speech software for greater accuracy on more powerful processors.
