Gadget addicts will love this one – we know one who is rhapsodising over it already: Timex Corp plans to launch a wristwatch that can download diary data from Microsoft Corp’s Schedule Plus so that you can check messages to yourself while you do your rounds; you hold the watch up to the desktop screen and the data is loaded via a bar code system, and by pushing those fiddly buttons, the user will be able to scroll through the entries – but otherwise it looks just like any other sports watch; the Data Link wristwatch will go into computer stores in the autumn at $130.
