DOW JONES ASKS MICROSOFT TO HELP RESCUE TELERATE

Dow Jones & Co has turned to Microsoft Corp to help it in its attempt to rescue its deeply troubled Telerate financial news service, and will turn the proprietary service into an Internet Protocol-based offering running under Windows NT. Dow Jones has committed to spending $650m over two years on Telerate.
