Sales and profits at Cambridge-based Domino Printing Sciences Plc in February and March were substantially ahead of the same time last year, chairman Gerald Dennis told the annual meeting: having improved its cost base by the end of 1993 through cuts in its operating expenses, Domino was now working on getting back to profitable growth, and progress so far had been good – Our immediate order book is a healthy five or six weeks across our product range but we remain cautious as to longer term prospects, he said – If the steady economic recovery continues in the US, our largest market, then the benefit to our results should outweigh the effect of slow trade incontinental Europe, he suggested.
