DOES THE D IN D NOTICE STAND FOR DOG?

By CBR Staff Writer

Two matters arise from the case of the Pentagon and the TRW executive’s dog, cost of boarding thereof (CI No 636) – the first is that dog-kennel bills are not unknown to the weary Defense Department watch – well – dogs, because General Dynamics was rapped for trying to pull the same trick last year, the second is that precisely the same kind of abuses no doubt occur with the UK Ministry of Defence, except that we would never be allowed to tell you about them, because as soon as there was a hint of publication, some jumped-up jobsworth in the Ministry would slap a D (for dog?) Notice on it, ruling publication as not being in the public interest.
