Conspiracy theorists note that John Akers, while out at IBM Corp, is still on the board of the New York Times Co, and making a connection with the fact that on Tuesday, the most scathing and excoriating review of OS/2 Warp appeared in the Times, and now IBM has had to confess that it discovered a bug in OS/2 Warp during duplication, but it has fixed the bug, which it calls a minor installation problem; the Boston Globe reported that IBM had to halt production of Warp because it discovered a bug that causes the operating system to go nuts on some personal computers.
