DMR Consulting Group Inc, the New Jersey-based provider of IT services, has acquired the Luxembourg IT services arm of E&Y Consulting Belgium SA for an undisclosed sum. The purchase marks the first step into the Luxembourg market for DMR, which already has offices in the UK, Belgium, the Netherlands and France, and generates about 19% of its revenues in Europe. It says a strong European presence is of key importance to its international strategy,
DMR will gain 60 new consultants under the deal, bringing its Benelux staff to 250. E&Y will be re-named DMR Consulting Group (Luxembourg) SA, and will focus on increasing business in the financial services and telecommunications sectors, from which it currently derives 22% and 29% of its revenues, respectively. DMR has been a part of Amdahl Corp since 1995 and a part of Fujitsu since 1997.
