Digital Research Inc is promoting a special upgrade offer on its DR DOS 5.0 operating system, and on the Lotus Magellan software: the company says that the programme is aimed at getting existing users to upgrade, as well as attracting corp-orate and government customers with new volume licensing terms; the promotional programme will be available in the US and Canada for 90 days, starting March 1, and it includes the DR DOS 5.0 Upgrade and Gold Disk options; also included is an offer for Lotus Magellan 2.0 utility package that enables users to find and view information whether it is located on the hard disk or network file server, and to recover deleted files or check for file corruption; the DR DOS 5.0 upgrade costs $80, and users can buy a copy of Lotus Magellan for just $20, against the $140 list.
