DIGITAL TO INCORPORATE INTEL’S PENTIUM PROCESSOR INTO HINOTE NOTEBOOK PC

Digital Equipment Corp announced yesterday it will launch a new Notebook PCs to its lightweight HiNote line incorporating Intel’s recently-launched Pentium 133MHz processors within the next 30 days. The Maynard, Massachusetts-based DEC said it also plans to add other enhancements like greater memory and hard disk space, larger screens and improved videocapabilities. Currently, the 10- model Hi-note line spans from $1,739 to $3,859 in price. The new model will be priced at the top of the range.
