DMC Telecom UK Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Digital Microwave Corp, has launched short-haul digital microwave radios for the international market. Forming a new product line called the M Series, the new products include two 18GHz digital microwave radios, the DMC 18LC and the DMC 18M, and one, the DMC 23M, which operates at 23GHz. The company says that the DMC 18LC is capable of transmitting up to four 2Mbit-per-second digital signals, and the DMC 18M and DMC 23M can support up to 16 digital signals at the same transmission rate. All three radios feature built-in multiplexers compatible with the European CEPT-1 interface. This new product line of advanced digital microwave radios has been under development for this past year and demonstrates our commitment to the international telecommunications market, says Digital Microwave Corp president William Gibson. Although launched by the UK company, the new family of radios will initially be manufactured by Digital Microwave Corp in the US, and only later by DMC Telecom UK Ltd.
