San Jose-based Digital Microwave Corp has brought the latest member of its Intelligent Radio family onto the market. The 10GHz digital radio supports up to 4 DSI signals, with a built-in multiplier. The DMC 10 combines advanced microwave technology with DMC short-haul transmission system for applications by cellular telephone companies, private network users, telephone operating companies, industrial and utility companies. The company reckons the DMC 10 is best suited for trunking applications between the cell-site and the Mobile Telephone Switching Office by cellular telephone providers, because it uses the relatively uncongested 10.5GHz frequency band. The DMC 10 provides point-to-point communications of up to 30 miles, and complements the company’s existing microwave and lightwave product lines. No prices provided.
