DIGITAL CORP DEVELOPS IMPLEMENTATION OF THE TCP/IP

By CBR Staff Writer

Digital Corp, a factory automation instrumentation and communications equipment manufacturer, has developed an implementation of the US Department of Defense TCP/IP communications protocol that standardises basic software communications protocols on engineering workstations: few companies are selling TCP/IP licences in Japan, and Digital Corp is making the licence available in two forms, in source code format, priced at $38,000 with running royalties of $78 for use on non-Digital hardware, and in object code format, for $15,500.
