Atlanta, Georgia-based Digital Communications Associates Inc has announced OpenMind, which it says is a client-server-based application that enables users to exchange ideas, share files, blend internal data with external information and manage enterprise data. Protocol support claimed includes IPX/SPX, NetBEUI, TCP/IP, NetBIOS and AppleTalk. OpenMind can support thousands of users without additional programming and has client software based on Microsoft Windows 3.1 and Macintosh. With a WindowsNT-based server, OpenMind is a 32-bit, multi-threaded client-server application with automatic replication among distributed servers, the firm says. Prices given are per user licence.
