DIGI-DATA LAUNCHES NEW VERSION OF GIGASTORE

Digi-Data Ltd has launched a new version of its Gigastore mass storage system for DEC VAX systems running under the Ultrix Unixalike, which the company claims gives users of these machines access to a low cost, mass storage backup system with up to 2.5Gb of formatted data on standard VHS video cassette tape: the end user price for a VAX Gigastore is some ?6,000 with discounts offered for OEM customers.
