DIFFERENCES BETWEEN IBM PERSONAL SYSTEM/2 MODELS 25 AND 30

By CBR Staff Writer

For those struggling to find the differences between the IBM Personal System/2 models 25 and 30, the model 25 – dubbed the ET prior to launch on Tuesday (CI No 739) – comes with 512K RAM, not 640K; one 3.5 floppy as standard, not two; two expansion slots, not three; and a built-in 12 mono or colour monitor and 102-keyboard which are included in the price, rather than the separate 12 screens and keyboard that have to be purchased to get the model 30 up and running; IBM says it has no plans to introduce the Model 25 in Europe.
