DIFFERENCE OF INTERPRETATION BY IBM AND ECLAT

By CBR Staff Writer

Depends who one listens to, doesn’t it? IBM is claiming victory over the European Leasers and Traders Association in Germany last week (CI No 675): according to IBM, the German cartel office has found that the complaints of the leasing companies were unfounded and that IBM Germany’s practices are fair and within applicable laws; ECLAT, on the other hand, says it has withdrawn its case concerning discrimination against leasers over volume purchase agreements to pursue non-legalistic avenues of solving its differences with IBM.
