The two companies have worked together for some time, and Dicom CEO Arnold Von Buren said Neurascript’s information capture tools are a core technology, especially as modules for its Ascent application platform.

Neurascript reported net income of 43,000 pounds ($79,145) on revenue of 1.3 million pounds ($2.4 million) for the year to March 31. Dicom is paying 2.4 million pounds ($4.4 million) up front for the company, 600,000 pounds ($1.1 million) in a year’s time, with the remainder dependent on the achievement of targets.

Dicom is an acquisitive company, and last month it paid 40 million euros ($48.4 million) for Topcall International AG to extend its reach into the area of unified communications.
