Multimedia boards maker Diamond Multimedia Systems Inc says it expects revenue for the second quarter to be significantly lower than current Wall Street expectations and should post an operating loss substantially greater than the first-quarter net loss of $6m, or $0.17 per share, it reported in April (CI No 3,144). The company blames a product transition period for the hard times. Previous to the announcement, the First Call consensus for the second quarter was a loss equivalent to $0.05 per share.
