The Computer Telephony division of Parsippany, New Jersey-based Dialogic Corp has unveiled CT-Connect, an open standards-based call control server which enables application developers, value-added resellers, system integrators and OEM customers to write applications that integrate databases with a wide range of proprietary-based telephone switches for enterprise-wide offerings. It runs under Windows NT on iAPX-86 architecture and Digital Equipment Corp Alpha processors, and supports the Intel Corp-Microsoft Corp Telephony Application Programming Interface (CI No 2,727). The standard version is said to support telephone switches with European Computer Manufacturers’ Association Computer-Supported Telephony Application-compliant computer-integrated telephony links, as well as switches whose links are similar to the CSTA model. It is available in three versions: a full configuration, which supports client modules for Windows, Windows NT, Unix and OpenVMS, and an unlimited number of client system applications; a Windows-only configuration, supporting an unlimited number of Microsoft Windows 3.1 systems; and an entry-level configuration, supporting up to 35 Windows-only client systems. There are no usage-based licence charges, said the firm, and client modules ar e included at no extra charge. The configurations, priced at $15,000, $7,500 and $3,000 respectively, are out now.
