Parsippany, New Jersey-headquartered Dialogic Corp has announced two new series of analogue personal computer speech processing boards for the European market, the 40 Series and the HD Series. The Dialogic/40 Series is based on a new board, the D/41E-World Card. It can be bought separately or with one of two daughter boards: a four-port recogniser, or a four-port facsimile board. The World Card has an AEB connection, and will feature an optional SCSA/PEB interface in future releases, says the company. The Dialog/HD Series family is aimed at installations of 30 lines or more, and is said to reduce the number of slots required to make up an E-1 system. They will support PEB and SCSA devices. No prices have been given.Meanwhile, WordPerfect Corp says it will be using the World Card, together with Dialogic’s OS/2 device driver, as the underlying technology for the development of a European computer telephony server, enabling users of the Orem, Utah company’s WordPerfect Office 4.0 users to gain access to their electronic messages via a standard touch tone telephone.
