London-headquartered DGA Ltd announced an electronic mail gateway to link Lotus Development Corp’s Notes to Verimation Ltd’s Memo mainframe-based office system. The new product is designed to enable host users to become part of the Notes application running on a local area network, enabling them to be included in data-flow models defined by Notes users. DGA says its Systems Network Architecture Distribution Services gateway supports all types of Lotus Notes workstations, and interfaces with IBM systems including DisOSS, OfficeVision/MVS and OfficeVision/400. The gateway also includes a Network Job Entry option to provide the message mechanism for Profs and OfficeVision/VM, as well as local network-to-host messaging and worldwide electronic mail International Information Network MailExchange as a Systems Network Architecture Distribution Services backbone network. The product is shipping now and starts at UKP2,000 and rising to UKP6,000 with support for unlimited number of users.
