DT chairman Kai-Uwe Ricke told a telecoms conference the national carrier has a number of different offers on the table for Siris.

DT bought Siris for 700m euros ($728m) in 1999, but is reported to have written down the value of the unit by 473m euros ($512m) in its third-quarter accounts.

Ricke said different solutions are being considered, and these include either a sale or partnership, while reports had said Vivendi Universal’s telecoms arm, Cegetel, would be interested in acquisition.

DT’s chairman said the carrier would also consider selling a range of assets including directories business DeTeMedien, its antennas unit and a stake in Russian mobile operator MTS, as it tries to cut debt.
