Concern grows for the fate of Ron Sommer, CEO of Deutsche Telekom who faces Christmas behind bars if he does not supply rivals British Telecommunications Plc with trading information as ordered by a Dusseldorf court. The deadline for supplying the information expired yesterday but charitably BT, unwilling to appear a Scrooge, said it did not expect any problem obtaining the documents. But the company was a mite suspicious as to whether it would contain all the information they are after and will be studying the documents over the next few days. Sommer still faces a nerve-wracking few days till Christmas Eve.
