DETAILS OF INTEL’S 100BASE-T KIT REVEALED

Intel Corp’s new Intel Express 100Base-TX Switching Hub for 100Mbps connections to shared workgroup hubs, servers and high- performance clients (CI No 2,874) will be available for $5,000 from the end of the month. It also added a new 100Base-FX fiber uplink module that will support distances of up to 500 feet at $1,500. A 100Base-TX switch uplink module at $1,200. A network management module for the Express Stackable Hub at $2,300 and 100Base-FX uplink module at $600 is shipping now. A Fast Ethernet package of one Express Stackable Hub with 10 EtherExpress PRO/100 PCI Adapters costs $3,000, but $2,500 until April 30 in North America.
