Spare a thought for Microsoft Corp boss Bill ‘Golden’ Gates, as he celebrates his 42nd birthday, and eagerly opens the pile of presents his family and friends have provided for him. But whatever goodies they have bought, it is little consolation after the bloodbath on Wall Street that savaged his personal fortune so he is now worth a mere $35.4bn. Still, Bill’s present for himself gives him a chance to escape these miseries. He has acquired, according to the Times, a Canadian Challenger 604 corporate jet. This acquisition may not go down too well with Microsoft executives who have been ordered to always travel economy class by their boss Bill Gates.
