Among a host of upgrades one of Denizbank’s most significant will be a new credit carp application processing system, based on Microsoft’s BizTalk Server 2004. Microsoft claims the system can produce a 94% cut in customer waiting times, and reduce application-to-delivery times from 16 days to just one. The initial application of the system has seen DenizBank record a 39% increase in cardholders, with further increases expected upon full implementation.

DenizBank and Microsoft have previously worked together on several other initiatives. These include a data warehouse solution, a group-wide portal infrastructure to enable collaboration across the organization and a financial messaging system.

Dilek Duman, CIO of DenizBank said, Competition in the Turkish banking market is fierce and here at DenizBank we have grown rapidly over the last seven years. By implementing cost-effective, flexible Microsoft technology as widely as possible across the organisation we have been able to develop new projects and see them to completion much quicker and at a lower total cost of ownership, while sustaining growth and continuing to excel in the delivery of innovative, quality services to our customers both in Turkey and further afield.
