Thus will provide a Virtual ISP service, through its Demon brand, which the British Fax Directory will use to launch Angel Surf, a subscription-free Internet portal, allowing its customers to access the Internet through a dedicated Windows based PC. This is the first subscription-free ISP service that focuses on daytime dial-up usage and it is anticipated that 85% of the traffic will take place during office hours.

The British Fax Directory will sell a complete PC package, including monitor, hard drive, mouse and keyboard, while Thus will provide hosting services, unlimited email addresses for subscribers and local call dial-up access.

As part of the multi-million pound contract, Thus is also working with the British Fax Directory to provide a full range of communications solutions.
