NCR Corp is supplying a touch-screen-based Electronic Voting System for the Democratic National Convention at which Bill Clinton is intended to be introduced as the next President of the United States on July 13 to 16 at Madison Square Garden in New York: there will be 60 electronic voting systems on the convention floor, linked to the podium; they use the 80386SX-based NCR 7054 Integrated Touch Screen System, equipped with two phones, one providing a hotline link to the podium for official business such as voting and procedural questions, the other for calls to other delegates and to outside locations; the voting systems will be connected to another NCR computer to tally votes in real time.
