The X Business Group says the market for Unix interface development tools grew 65% in 1993 to $133m, up from $81m in 1992, with North America accounting for $63.6m, Europe $53.3m and the rest of the world $16.1m. The group says Integrated Computer Solutions Inc in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Visual Edge Software Ltd of Montreal, VI Corp of Northampton, Massachusetts and XVT Software Inc of Boulder, Colorado, lead sales in their respective market sectors. Of the $1,200m 1993 worldwide X Window industry, X terminals accounted for $615.4m of sales, services $99m, channel margins $228m, personal computer X servers $56.4m, graphical interfaces and toolkits, $72m, and interface development technology $133m.
