Trowbridge Consulting will retain its identity and become a new DTT service line led in Asia by Regional Director Roger Steel, with Tim Andrews being responsible for general insurance.

The merger of a major independent actuarial firm is without precedent. Trowbridge, with its staff of over 100 consultants, including actuaries, MBA’s, and other professionals in Australia and Asia, was looking to expand its global capabilities. DTT is the fastest growing Big 5 firm globally – with 16,500 people in Asia Pacific and 90,000 people in over 130 countries, backed by massive resources and research.

Campbell, said, Trowbridge Consulting will take a leadership role within DTT’s Australian financial services operations and establish new bridgeheads for this business elsewhere in Asia. Trowbridge will also use its Australian base to assist DTT build its financial consulting and actuarial services worldwide.

Trowbridge Consulting will continue to operate from Trowbridge’s existing offices in Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Melbourne and Sydney; DTT will provide infrastructure support with systems, knowledge management, accounting, technology and human resources.
