The Enterprise Command Centers, or ECCs, are designed to improve support provided to business customers by monitoring weather and traffic patterns and provide real-time tracking of parts, customer issues and technicians, to make parts and service delivery more efficient.
Dell said that an ECC center opened in the US last November has helped it achieve nearly 25% improvement in resolving initial customer issues. Dell announced the opening of a center in Xiamen, China, today, and said it will open centers in Limerick, Ireland, and another one in Japan later this year. It plans a further center in the Asia-Pacific region in 2005.
