By CBR Staff Writer

Dell has introduced a new addition to its small-business line of Vostro laptops with the release of 13.3-inch V13, which is equipped with ultra-low-voltage Intel (ULV) processors to manage energy efficiency.

The new laptop is 0.65 inches (16.5mm) thin and starts at 3.5 pounds (1.59kg). The laptop is encased in brushed aluminum with reinforced zinc hinges for rough handling.

Vostro V13 comes with integrated webcam and microphones that allows users to make internet calls, conduct video conferences and exchange files to help increase productivity. It also comes with wireless connectivity options such as 802.11g/n wireless LAN, bluetooth, and WWAN mobile broadband. The laptop runs on Windows 7 with support for up to 4GB of DDR3 SDRAM memory.

The company added that the V13 keeps data under lock and key with optional data-encrypted hard drives with automated DataSafe online backup to protect and help recover data.
