DELL PLAN NEW PLANT IN ASIA

Dell Computer Corp plans to add a fourth major personal computer manufacturing plant, this time in Asia, mainly for the benefit of the Japanese market, Newsbytes reports from Tokyo: Dell is looking at Japan, South Korea and Taiwan as possible production bases as part of its effort to cut production costs by buying parts more cheaply in the region; Dell currently has plants in Texas, in Mexico and in Ireland.
