It makes sense that Dell Computer Corp is OEMing Brocade Communications Systems Inc’s Fibre Channel SilkWorm switches. Dell OEM’s filers from Network Appliance Inc, which is also a Brocade OEM. Dell OEM’s Data General Corp’s Fibre Channel Clariion storage as its PowerVault line. It’s an important and lucrative win for Brocade given the potential business Dell will do on its equipment.
