Everdream manages more than 140,000 desktops for companies including Automatic Data Processing, Brocade Communications Systems, Korean Air, Midas, Salesforce.com and Sonic Automotive.

The acquisition enables Dell to extend remote management of critical IT assets from servers, storage, and printers to desktops, notebooks and other end-user devices globally. Dell plans to integrate Everdream with its global services organization.

To enhance its remote management services, in October 2007, Dell announced the On-Demand Desktop Streaming, a server-based software, hardware, and service that streams the operating system, applications, and data to diskless desktop clients over a gigabit ethernet network.
