Dell has introduced Vostro 1220, a new addition to its Vostro series laptops. The laptop comes with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor and 12.1-inch widescreen.
Dell said that the new laptops come with pre-installed videoconferencing software Video Chat, which, along with an optional integrated webcam and a microphone, provides videoconferencing service to consumers.
The new laptops also feature 802.11 draft-n wireless LAN or optional mobile broadband external device for internet connectivity and provides up to nine hours of battery life on a 6-cell battery.
The company also said that the new laptops come with security options including mobility solid state drives for three times the reliability of traditional hard drives, fingerprint readers with software, and multi-factor authentication and encrypted hard drives with Wave Systems software that can encrypt data without impacting system performance.
