Dell delays Q4 earnings report

Leading PC maker Dell Inc has said it would delay its third-quarter earnings report because of ongoing regulatory investigations into its accounting and financial reporting methods, according to a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

By CBR Staff Writer

The Round Rock, Texas-based company said the SEC, the US Attorney for the Southern District of New York and its own audit committee have questioned its fiscal reporting methods, which may affect previously reported results, Dell said.

The company said it has not yet determined whether any financial restatements will be required. It also stressed that it was cooperating with the various investigations.
