It’s only the fifth acquisition Dell has ever made. Everdream’s technologies are going to complement those of acquisition number three, Silverback Technologies, which Dell acquired in May.
Both deals are part of Dell’s strategy of building out its management tools to help corporate buyers simplify their IT systems. The company calls this, naturally enough, Simplify IT.
Dell said Everdream’s services will continue to be developed independently, as well as forming the foundation of future Dell offerings.
