Dell Services signs five-year IT support contract with Carlyle

Technical support, application maintenance and integration services for ERP implementation

By CBR Staff Writer

Dell Services has signed a five-year contract with global alternative asset manager Carlyle Group, to provide hosting and support for Oracle PeopleSoft Enterprise and Hyperion Performance Management applications.

The contract will enable Carlyle group to maximise the benefits and value of PeopleSoft and Hyperion offerings, including strategy consulting, applications services, infrastructure support services and business process offerings.

Under the agreement, Dell Services will offer technical support, application maintenance and integration services for Carlyle Group’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation.

In addition, as a single partner for both hardware and services, Dell Services will offer a fully-integrated end-to-end offering that includes hardware, data centre hosting, IT service management, and PeopleSoft and Hyperion applications management.

Carlyle Group chief information officer David Roth said their collaboration with Dell Services will help them continue to drive enterprise efficiency, mitigate risk and help to reduce total cost of ownership.
