Dell releases Ultra HD monitors

Delivers four times the resolution of Full HD.

By Vinod

Dell has announced a new range of Ultra HD monitors that claim to deliver four times the resolution of Full HD.

The Dell UltraSharp 32" monitor and UltraSharp 24" monitor "provide superb visual clarity for design professionals and other power users."

"We are excited to announce Ultra High Definition monitors in sizes and price points that will be compelling to customers seeking higher resolution," said Bert Park, vice president and general manager, Displays and Client Peripherals, Dell.

"Today’s announcement reinforces how Dell has led in product innovation by making the latest monitor technologies available to everyone, regardless of their usage or budget."

The Ultra HD Monitors provide colour at ‘virtually’ full spectrum coverage, and include support of major color industry standards including 99 percent AdobeRGB.

The flagship Dell UltraSharp 32 Ultra HD Monitor delivers Ultra HD 3840 x 2160 resolution and high pixel density on a 31.5-inch screen, while the Dell UltraSharp 24 gives you an ultra-wide viewing angle on a 23.8-inch screen.

Dell also announced the release of a 28" variant in early 2014, which falls under the $1,000 bracket. The monitor includes the ability to pivot to portrait mode. Dell says it will have multiple input ports that allow users to display content from smartphones and tablets on the larger screen, and connect laptops, PCs and other accessories.
